There is something special about summer nights here. Maybe it is hearing music outside, catching a game under the lights, or seeing fireworks brighten the sky above the city.

Anaheim has always been a place where big memories happen, whether it was 42,000 fans packed into the Stadium decades ago or families making new traditions today. This week’s lineup is full of those little moments worth getting out for.

🎸 KISS show at Anaheim Stadium becomes a real album

The Gist: KISS will release its first official live recording of the band's August 20, 1976 concert at Anaheim Stadium, titled KISS Destroys Anaheim '76, on August 21. The show drew more than 42,000 fans, the band's largest audience at that point in its career, and was originally recorded by producer Eddie Kramer, who returned to mix the album from the original multitrack tapes. Openers that night included Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, and Montrose.
Why It Matters: For 50 years the recording has circulated among diehards as a bootleg. Drummer Peter Criss has long called it his favorite gig with the band. Anaheim Stadium is a very different building now, but a night that big is part of the city's cultural bedrock, and it is getting a proper archival release.
What's Next: The album is available in CD, SHM-CD, and three vinyl editions and drops officially on August 21.
🏰 Disneyland Drops $59 Evening Tickets
The Gist: Disneyland Resort is offering a special evening ticket for 59 dollars for certain nights this summer. The deal lets you enter Disney California Adventure at 5 p.m. or Disneyland at 7 p.m. It runs Sundays through Wednesdays from July 12 through August 5, 2026, as long as you secure a theme park reservation.
Why It Matters: This is a rare, budget-friendly win for families looking to enjoy the parks without paying full price or melting in the midday summer heat. It is a great excuse to catch the fireworks, enjoy cooler evening rides, and check out the new patriotic landmarks on the expanded Soarin' Across America ride opening July 2.

🪵 Giving your backyard grill the holiday off

2901 E Miraloma Ave, Anaheim
For three decades, Blake’s Place has kept its wood-fired pits burning low and slow for up to 16 hours. This Fourth of July, they are doing the heavy lifting so you do not have to sweat over the grates.
Their Firecracker Party Pack comes loaded with tender baby back ribs, pulled pork, and comforting sides like mac and cheese and potato salad. It is the ultimate summer spread, leaving you free to just enjoy the fireworks.

⚽ Where the crowd gathers and the jerseys sell fast

1440 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim
The outdoor food court at the Anaheim Indoor Marketplace is the neighborhood spot for the big watch parties. Between local vendors like Deportes Hernández and Johnny's Sports, it is easy to find the right jersey or baseball gear before the matches.
Grab a matcha or iced drink from the Blue Star Coffee truck by the entrance, find a spot near La Placita, and settle in with some great food for a classic summer afternoon.
