Father’s Day weekend is here, and Anaheim is making it pretty easy to find something fun to do. Whether Dad is into live music, good food, golf, or just getting out of the house, there are plenty of options nearby.

We love weeks like this because they show off what makes the area special, from big names like Tony Hawk to the everyday spots that become part of our stories. Hope you find something worth putting on the calendar.

🎺 Jazzing up Father's Day at the Packing District

The Gist: For global Make Music Day on Sunday, June 21, the Anaheim Packing District is throwing a free jazz fest from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Four acts, including the CJ Rubio Quartet and the Jazzie León Trio, will take over the Packing House and MAKE buildings for an eight-hour musical marathon. The fun even starts early with a bonus Bossa Vai Vai Jazz preview session on Saturday night, June 20.
Why It Matters: Since this lands right on Father's Day, it is the perfect excuse to treat dad to a day out without breaking the bank. It turns our usual quiet Sunday into a massive community celebration, proving once again that our local packing district is the ultimate hub for bringing neighbors together.
🛹 Tony Hawk Talks Skate History and Anaheim Nostalgia
The Gist: Southern California skateboarding legend Tony Hawk sat down with KTLA 5 Morning News on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to share some updates on his career and his deep local roots. Hawk revealed that he was once set to star in a skateboarding-themed Space Jam sequel, a shelved project he would still love to do if Warner Brothers calls back. In the meantime, the grandfather to one-year-old Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk has partnered with Visit Anaheim to promote 2026's big travel trend of nostalgic trips.
Why It Matters: It is a sweet reminder that no matter how big you get, there is nothing quite like the community, music, and raw energy of the neighborhood places where you first found your passion.

🌞 Island flavor and dad-approved cheer

321 W Katella Ave, Anaheim
Roy’s brings a wave of Hawaiian-fusion warmth right to the neighborhood, making it an easy escape for celebrating the leading men in our lives.
The dining room balances upscale polish with total relaxation, perfect for unwinding over a 14-ounce Kalbi New York strip or a crisp Hawaiian-style lobster omelet. Pair those sunny Pacific Rim flavors with a legendary Aloha Hour martini to watch the summer stress completely melt away.

⛳ A walkable spot where everyone fits in

430 N Gilbert St, Anaheim
If the name alone doesn't qualify Dad Miller Golf Course as a great Father's Day weekend pick, the price tag certainly will. It remains the most wallet-friendly, walkable 18-hole course in this part of Orange County.
The flat layout runs through mature trees and a small lake, making it comfortable to stroll. Golfers of every skill level are welcome here, meaning a beginner kid can easily play alongside a longtime regular. After a round, you can practice on the night-lit chipping green or unwind at the clubhouse restaurant and lounge.
