The jacarandas are starting to pop, the mornings are warmer, and the parking lot at Angel Stadium is about to get very busy. This is one of those weeks where you genuinely have too many good options.

Oh, and there's a new taco spot on Anaheim Blvd that's already turning heads. Fair warning: you might get hungry reading this one.

🌮 Charcoal smoke and a line out the door

Primecut Taqueria has officially arrived in the old Pour Vida spot near Muzeo, just in time for the next holiday weekend. Their signature mesquite grill delivers those smoky, caramelized edges that made their Huntington Beach original a local icon.

Since today is April 2nd, celebrate National Burrito Day with their "Wet Burrito" (a sauced and loaded masterpiece topped with fresh avocado and crema!) It’s the perfect, flavorful addition to the downtown food scene.

🍦 Warm spiral cakes meeting cold soft serve

A quick ten minute drive from the park brings us to House of Chimney Cakes in downtown Anaheim where Hungarian tradition takes a sweet form. These hand-rolled cakes are baked until golden and crispy, then filled with creamy soft serve.

The contrast between the warm, sugary dough and cold toppings like toasted marshmallows makes for a lovely afternoon. With Easter weekend approaching, it is a bright spot to visit with the whole crew.

🏗️ OCVIBE Just Showed Us What's Coming Next to Honda Center

The Gist: The team behind OCVIBE, the massive 100-acre entertainment district being built around Honda Center, just unveiled the design for 20 acres of parks and public plazas. The first phase will include a 5,000-seat concert hall designed by Populous, a chef-driven market hall called Katella Commons, and a series of connected walking trails inspired by Southern California's native landscapes. Construction is underway and the first openings are expected in early 2027.

Why It Matters: This is one of the largest private investments in Southern California history, and it's reshaping the area just south of the 57 freeway into a walkable, year-round destination for Anaheim residents and visitors.

🎬 Walt Disney Archives Exhibit Coming to Muzeo This Summer

The Gist: D23 announced that "Capturing Life, Creating Character: The Art of Live-Action Reference," a world-premiere exhibition curated by the Walt Disney Archives, will open at Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center on August 8. The exhibit features rarely seen archival photographs, animator materials, and interactive activities that take visitors behind the scenes of some of the most beloved animated films in history. The show runs through November 1.

Why It Matters: Anaheim will be the launching point for a national tour, and D23 members will get exclusive perks including discounted admission and special programming. It's a rare chance to see Disney history up close, right in your own downtown.

With a heart for companionship at sixty pounds, this young adult is the perfect medium size for afternoon walks or lounging at home. He is already house-trained and knows how to sit, especially if a belly rub is waiting afterward.
