⚔️ Darth Vader and the Original Star Wars Trilogy Arrive at Galaxy's Edge

The Gist: Starting Wednesday, April 29, Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is making its biggest change since opening in 2019. Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker will begin roaming Black Spire Outpost as permanent characters, and the land's timeline is expanding from the sequel trilogy era to include storylines from the original films. Shops are being renamed, new props are going in, and John Williams' iconic score from the original trilogy will now play throughout the land. The Millennium Falcon side of Galaxy's Edge will effectively be set during the era of Return of the Jedi, while the Resistance Camp stays in the sequel-trilogy timeline. None of this is coming to Disney World in Florida, it's a Disneyland exclusive, at least for now.

Why It Matters: For Anaheim, this is a significant event. Disneyland draws most of the city's economic energy, and a change this visible tends to bring a surge in park attendance, hotel bookings, and traffic along Harbor Boulevard.
