🧺 Clean Clothes for Every Student

The Gist: The Anaheim Union High School District is partnering with local businesses Superior Laundry and LaundryUp to provide free laundry services. Students in need can access nearly $9,000 in vouchers for laundry cards, detergent, and fabric softener. Some campuses will even offer convenient drop-off and pick-up services to make things easier for families.

Why It Matters: Having clean clothes builds confidence and helps students feel ready to learn without the weight of extra stress. The district plans to expand these services to more high schools during the upcoming school year.

🍷 Fresh Flavors at the Food & Wine Festival

The Gist: The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns this week, featuring 25 new menu items and eight marketplace booths showcasing California ingredients. Visitors can enjoy culinary demonstrations, see characters in their best foodie attire, and catch the limited return of the classic Soarin’ Over California attraction.

Why It Matters: This annual celebration brings the best of our state's harvests and local culinary talent right to our backyard for a month of community tasting. The festival runs from March 6 through April 27, 2026. Prepaid Sip and Savor passes are available now in four or eight-coupon tiers.

🐾 Hazel is a gentle eight-week-old German Shepherd mix

She will likely grow into a sturdy medium size. Currently fostering in the Orange County area, this observant puppy is already showing a wonderful affinity for people and plays beautifully with other dogs and children alike.

While her housebreaking is still a work in progress, her eager-to-please nature makes her a focused and capable learner. Hazel’s adoption fee is $450, and she is a great match for local homes with other dogs or kids.
