🎃 City Halloween Tradition Marches On

The Gist: The heart of Anaheim will come alive this Saturday, Oct. 25, as the 102nd Fall Festival and Halloween Parade return downtown. Hand-built floats, local bands, and neighbors in costume will fill Center Street Promenade with lights, laughter, and hometown charm. The festival begins at 11 a.m. with crafts, live music, and food booths, plus the beloved kids’ and dog costume contests. A classic car show makes its first comeback since 1957, adding a nostalgic touch to the day.

🦆 Anaheim Honors Navy Veteran as 21st Duck

The Gist: Navy veteran Daniel “Doc” Jacobs took center ice at Honda Center as this season’s 21st Duck, joining the Anaheim Ducks before their home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins. A double amputee and decorated Bronze Star recipient, Jacobs made history as the first amputee to return to active infantry service after his 2006 injury in Iraq.
